I have spent many hours on this project. In particular, making the cherry blossom took almost a year (about 5 minutes per flower 😅). The flower pot that the garden is made in had been in the cupboard for years, too small for a plant but big enough for a creative idea 😊 I love nature scenes. It's very fiddly to make, but it's so cool when it works! The shape of the flowerpot made me think of a Japanese garden, with of course a cherry tree full of blossom, red maple bushes, the granite lantern, the small and bright red bridge over a water feature and of course a small zen garden with a stone in the middle. A Japanese crane scurrying through the garden looking for a smaller bite than the two Koi carp in the water. Despite the fact that there are many elements to discover in this small garden, it has a serene atmosphere.
The flower pot is made of glazed terracotta with a layer of air-drying clay in it for a base. All elements are made of Fimo (polymer clay), except the purple stone in the zen garden and a few small purple stones in the water, which are amethysts. The water is made of epoxy resin. The scene is approximately 17 x 15 x 11.5 cm (H x W x D). To protect it all, it stands on a slate plate with a Plexiglas cover measuring 20.6 x 20 x 20 cm (H x W x D).
