I find the translucent colors of Fimo (polymer clay) fascinating. It is a bit more difficult to work with, but the effect of the slightly translucent colors is worth it. In this case I mixed translucent blue and a 'regular' color blue (I don't remember exactly which one 😅) with a marble technique and applied this in a thin layer on a chicken egg. After baking, I dissolved the chicken egg with vinegar, so that only the Fimo remains. The effect was beautiful in itself, but of course I like to make things more complicated 😉. That's why I turned it into a light by putting in a diffuse blue LED light and my partner made a stand for the battery holder (button cell) with his 3D printer.
The egg is made of Fimo (polymer clay) and the foot is made of PLA filament (3D print). In whole it is 8.5 cm high and has a diameter of 4.5 cm.
