I sometimes make some jewelry, for example as an exercise to see how a technique or faux texture turns out or to use up leftovers from other projects. So far I've used the following techniques or faux textures:
- Roses
- Colored fake stones
- Faux ivory/ bone
- Faux wood
- Mokume Gane
- Faux gemstones in red variation in which Fimo Christmas Red, Translucent Red and Translucent Orange are combined. This creates a subtle color gradient with slightly translucent parts.
- Marble stripes. Different colors are marbled trough Fimo Translucent Red. The shapes are organic. This makes it look a bit like smoothly worn river stones with interesting shapes.
