After Black Cats cushion it won't be a surprise that I love cats (and pretty much all other animals). I got the hang of it and continued with this cat of the same series. The way the cat looks (peeks 😏) at you with one eye is so recognizable when you have cats. And the way the best place in the house gets occupied by the cat too... 😉
In the kit, the couch only consists of a few backstitch lines, but because I also wanted to make a cushion out of this one, I wanted to fill the couch. I opted for a gray-blue (and some more shades) color gradient that I applied in different directions to accentuate the shapes of the couch. I slanted the edges and made them irregular, otherwise it would be too straight for my taste.
The cushion is made of linen in the color cream and has a zipper of 40 cm at the bottom. The pillow is 42 x 42 cm. The embroidery kit is from the line 'Among Black Cats' M00668 from RTO, which I bought through https://www.spinnerij.nl/. I filled the couch with DMC yarn from the Color Variations line, Stormy Skies, 4015, the background is filled with DMC yarn 3865 bought at https://www.hobbydoos.nl/.
