Christmas

Christmas? In May? Well, I can never really predict when I'll get an idea for something. I had one of the presents laying around for a few years now. It was intended for another project (Pakjesavond) but the size just didn't work. I also had a very small mouse laying around for another project (a booknook that I'm going to make). That gave me an idea to make a pile of gifts with a few mischievous mice hanging around. So I decided to make candy canes that the mice could steal. And I thought it would be funny if the mice would hide in a Santa hat. That's how this scene took shape in my head. With some leftover faux wood I made the floor and then I selected different bright colors and shapes to make colorful gifts. I hung the candy canes on garlands, which I finished with bows with holly sprigs (if you look very closely, you can also see small red berries 😉) and bells. I decorated the lid with some snowflakes. Not bad for someone who sometimes puts up the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve 😅

It is a glass jar and all elements are made of Fimo (polymer clay). I used Fimo Leather for the garlands and bows. The whole has a diameter of 8 cm and a height of 10 cm.
