The pattern I used was inspired by a traditional Ukrainian pattern I saw on a bracelet. There the pattern was geometric, but it comes from traditional embroidery. After creating the Pattern Vase I still had enough cane left, so I coated another egg. That remains fun but also challenging to do. The hardest part is getting all the slices together seamlessly without disrupting the pattern too much. I made the cane smaller in several steps, so that I could completely cover the egg without cutting the pattern.
It is getting more and more colourful on the windowsill around Easter 😁.
The chicken egg is covered with Fimo (polymer clay) and the base is made of PLA filament (3D print). The whole is 7 cm high and has a diameter of 4.5 cm.
